Sustainability Policy

SHIADU’s Environmental Policy aims to achieve the satisfaction of relevant interested parties, meeting their needs and expectations, as well as ensuring the organisation’s good performance.

SHIADU is committed to complying with the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to its activities and to identifying and implementing actions that promote the continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System, with a commitment to the following values:

SHIADU is constantly seeking ways to ensure the continuity of its business and services.

SHIADU aims to continuously develop and implement measures to conserve and reduce the use of natural resources, in order to minimise the environmental impact resulting from its activities, taking the necessary measures and actions to achieve the following objectives:

  • WASTE MANAGEMENT:
    The reuse and recycling of waste contribute to our commitment to protecting the environment.
    Recycling bins are available, encouraging guests to adopt this sustainable practice. All non-recyclable waste (unsorted waste and rubbish) is disposed of appropriately using licensed operators.
    Consumption is recorded, analysed and monitored.
  • WATER RESOURCES:
    Water resources are used with the lowest possible environmental impact, including the installation of systems
    that reduce water consumption. Consumption is recorded, analysed and monitored.
  • ENERGY RESOURCES:
    Use of renewable energy sources, consumption reduction systems, HVAC shut-off sensors when windows are open,
    and motion detection sensors. Consumption is recorded, analysed and monitored.
  • CHAMBOA PROJECT:
    Own production at Herdade da Chamboa, through environmentally friendly practices that respect the environment.
